This isn't a butterfly. Sequoias are neat, big can live beyond 1800 years, resist fire and most insects. They don't let much live in their branches- neat but they are the bullies of the forest.
You used to be able to drive a car through this tree.

Then we went for another little hike to the reflection pond.
We found some cairns. This must be a really important spot.
