Surfs up, Dude

Aaron wanted to take us surfing...so we said okay let's go Saturday!

Caitlin didn't have to work until 3 so she drove up to the beach with us, but didn't surf. She had to go save peoples' lives.

The drive out of San Fran was up US 1. Pretty scenic, but sooo curvy.

It was a little overcast on the beach, but there was still surf of course.

Theo and I both rented wetsuits and boards (Aaron has his own) and then we jumped in to see how well we could learn.

It was a learning day :) Theo and I both caught a few waves...nothing fancy...and I didn't get off my knees...but i think it was worth it just to look so good in my wetsuit. Amazing how those things keep you warm.

There was another famous surfer who joined us, too. It was so great to meet him. He was catching everything, but after each eave all he talked about was anchovies on his pizza that he was craving. He kept saying "cowabunga!!!" too. He was an awesome surfer though. And having him around made it really easy to get other people to smile at us and talk to us.

Totally rad.

We went over the famous Golden Gate bridge on the way home, too.

Doesn't Aaron look sweet walking down the street to his place in SF with his board? Thanks for taking us surfing, Aaron!
