We found a campsite and then rode the free shuttle up the canyon to check out The Narrows hike. Pretty amazing hiking through the Virgin River with the canyon walls all around.
Here is our campsite.

The hike to get to the tougher trail head at the river was a little busy...but once you had to steady walking in the water, only the serious outdoorsmen (and outdoorswomen) like me and Theo continued.

Theo kept hiking up the river, but I wanted to turn back because I was pretty exhausted.

So I took Theo's hat so he wouldn't get it wet. The whole hike back as I would pass people, they kept looking at me pretty strangely. Finally I realized it wasn't because I was walking so fast, or because I was alone, but because I looked like a goon with two hats on my head!

As Theo was hiking up the canyon, I decided to check out the winding road up the mountain to go through the 1.1 mile long tunnel that was finished in 1930! When it was finished it was the longest man made tunnel in the world. Pretty incredible to drive through.

You can see the tunnel as that little black hole in the mountain.

This is the tunnel from the other side of the mountain.
There was a small parking lot next to a trail head that said it was a 1.1 mile hike to an overlook area for the entire canyon. I decided to see how fast I could make it to the lookout.

That hole in the mountain is a little window that they made to give a little light inside the tunnel. It also gives a great view as you drive.

Pretty incredible view.

Not a trail to take if you are at all afraid of heights.
I made it up and back 1.1 mile round trip with the stop for pictures in 25 minutes. Well worth the drive.
After returning to the campsite, I found Theo already there and we cooked up some eggs for dinner and then went to bed.
The next morning we woke up at what we thought was 715 to get on the road by 8 am so we could make it to Vegas by the time the women's world cup game started...well, we had to have time to make our bets and then sit and watch the game.
On our exit...

On to Vegas baby!
